MATTHEW J. KILCOYNE, based in New York, is a Senior Consultant with R. H. Perry & Associates.  Since joining the firm in 2002, Mr. Kilcoyne has assisted the firm’s principals on more than 150 presidential and senior administrative searches. Matt focuses primarily on top candidate identification, and in conducting in-depth due diligence.  He is currently assisting in the following searches: President, Wheeling Jesuit University; President, Edison Community College; Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, Antioch University Los Angeles; and Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, Empire State College.  

In addition, Mr. Kilcoyne partners with Mr. Doeg in directing the firm’s Value-Added Search Services (VASS) program for colleges and university search committees conducting their own searches.  Currently, Matt is leading a finalist due diligent assignment for the Niagara University Vice President for Student Life.  He has recently completed top candidate searches for Vice President for Student Affairs, San Jose State University; Dean of Arts and Sciences for St. Bonaventure University; and finalist due diligence for Vice President for Academic Affairs, Lake Erie College, and Head Football Coach, Stevenson University.

Prior to joining RHPA, Matt worked as a Marketing Associate for both JP Morgan Partners, the private equity investment branch of JP Morgan Chase, and Pareto Partners, a London-based boutique asset management firm.  A native Washingtonian, Matt has a strong commitment to educational opportunities for economically disadvantaged youth in the District of Columbia.  He has worked closely with the Washington Jesuit Academy since its inception as both a volunteer and the first chairperson of its major fundraising committee.  He has also donated his time and efforts to the Higher Achievement Project (HAP), the Sursum Corda Cooperative, and G.I.V.E.  Based in New York City, Matt is a proud product of Jesuit education, having graduated from Gonzaga College High School and received his B.A. from Georgetown University.
