Robert H. Perry
Robert H. Perry founded the firm in 1974 and continues to lead it today. A graduate of the University of North Carolina (B.S. 1959) and continuing with graduate work in Industrial Relations, he has over 30 years' experience in executive search, the last 26 years in higher education. Mr. Perry has held important positions at Colgate-Palmolive, ITT, and in 1972 served as a Fellow in the White House Executive Exchange Program. Rob is the author of HOW TO ANSWER A HEADHUNTERS CALL, A Complete Guide to Executive Search, (published by the American Management Association, 1984) and co-editor of THE EXECUTIVE SEARCH COLLABORATION (published by Quorum Books, 1990).

Allen E. Koenig
Allen E. Koenig heads the firm's higher education practice. With Thomas H. Langevin, he is the co-founder of the Registry for College & University Presidents. Dr. Koenig has been part of higher education since 1964 and is the former president of Chapman University, Orange, California, 1989-1991, and Emerson College, Boston, Massachusetts, 1979-1989. He holds the B. A. degree from the University of Southern California (1961), the M. A. degree from Stanford University (1962), and the Ph. D. degree from Northwestern University (1964). Allen, who is based in Columbus, Ohio, joined RHPA in 1993.

Judith A. Brissette
Judith A. Brissette, who is based in Rhode Island, joined RHPA as a Senior Associate in 1999. Previously, Judy served at Western New England College as the Vice President for Administration and Planning from 1989-1999 and as Secretary to the Board of Trustees from 1989-1996. For a number of years, she has served as an active member of the Massachusetts Association of Independent Colleges and Universities and as a frequent participant on accrediting teams for the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. She received the Distinguished Alumnae Award in 1997 from the S1. Mary Academy where she serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees as well as serving on the Executive Committee of the Board. She holds degrees from Salve Regina University (A.B., 1965), from Rhode Island College (M.Ed., 1970), and from The University of Toledo (Ph.D., 1982).

Bryan E. Carlson
Bryan E. Carlson who joined RHPA in 2002, also serves as President and COO of Collegiate Enterprise Solutions, Inc. (CES), and as President of the Registry for College and University Presidents. Dr. Carlson began his career in higher education in 1967. He previously served for 23 years as President of Mount Ida College, and led that institution through an extraordinary period of growth and transformation. In addition he has served as President of the New England Exchange of Executive Leadership (NEXEL), a division of the Education Alliance. Bryan holds a B.A. from Northeastern University (1967), and an Ed.M. (1968) and Ed.D. (1971) from Boston University.

Neil A. Stein
Neil A. Stein joined RHPA in 1987 after 25 years with the Federal Government: 1972 to 1986, Deputy Executive Director of the President's Commission on Executive Exchange, serving one year as a Presidential Exchange Executive with G.E.'s Executive Resources Staff; prior to 1972: Chief of Staffing for the Agency for International Development (AID) and the Goddard Space Flight Center (NASA). While with the President's Commission, Mr. Stein recruited over 500 senior managers from both industry and government. He holds the B. A. degree (1961) from American University and the M. S. degree (1967) from George Washington University.

Larry H. Christman
Larry H. Christman, who since 1983 has served as president of the Association of Independent Colleges and Universities of Ohio (AlCUO), became of counsel to RHPA in 1999. Previously, Larry was the Deputy Director for Strategic Planning at the Ohio Department of Development and a State Representative in the Ohio House of Representatives. He taught at Capital University, Sinclair Community College, Northmont Local Schools, and Bluffton College. He received degrees in history and political science from Bluffton College (B.A., 1962), in history from Ohio State University (M.A., 1963), and Leadership Studies from the Union Institute (Ph.D., 2003). Additionally, he attended Harvard University's Institute for Educational Management and took additional graduate studies in educational administration, curriculum development, and policy analysis. He is a former member of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities and a former member of the Board of Directors of Tuition Exchange, Inc.

Judith A. Perry
Judy Perry joined the firm in 1997 as Vice President and Treasurer. For the preceding 13 years, Ms. Perry served as manager of Fairfax County Government's Automated Systems Training Center. Earlier she was an Educational Services Representative for IBM and a teacher for the American School for the Deaf. She is a graduate of Endicott College. In overseeing RHPA's direct mail sourcing, Judy utilizes a state-of-the-art database that encompasses our extensive nationwide network and includes all of the higher education professional associations.

Joseph M. Foley
Joseph M. Foley, who is based in Columbus, Ohio, serves as RHPA's Director of Research. Dr. Foley joined the faculty of Ohio State University in 1969 and from 1985 to 1995 served as chair of the Department of Communication. Previously he taught at American University and the University of Iowa. Dr. Foley received degrees in philosophy from Antioch (B.S., 1964) and in communication from the University of Iowa (M.A., 1966 and Ph.D., 1968). Joe conducts screening interviews and preliminary reference checks of prospective candidates; once finalists are selected, he assists RHPA's search team in conducting extensive due diligence.
